I am facing somewhat of a crisis. I seem to be getting into stuff that's well...too young for someone of my age to like. Okay, not just getting into. I'm more like obsessing over it. I think it all started when I wanted to buy an Optimus Prime plush. I'm buying merchandise for Transformers and watching the actual cartoon. I also bought a remixed version of its theme on iTunes. Last time I checked that was a kid's show.
I told my friend about how I hoped to someday go to the Transformers convention, to which she replied with "Only little kids and people who live in their mother's basement go there." I leave her name unknown so as to avoid finding her dead on Monday. Believe me, I kinda wanted to slap her too for saying that. But the more I think about it, and I really don't want to offend anyone with this statement, I wonder if she's really wrong. I've never been there before, so I wouldn't know.
But the problem really became more obvious when I got into....Mighty Morphing Power Rangers. I think you'll agree with me that that is most definetly a kid's show, although a classic and cool one. I'm considering buying episode's of the show on iTunes, and I just bought the theme song.
So, I need to know, is my dorkish tendency starting to grow out of control, is this just some phase that I'll get out of like so many other phases, or am I just worrying too much about liking classic cartoons?
